Part-Time Job Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in working with our youth and families through part-time employment with the South Carolina Youth Advocate Program (SCYAP). We are seeking professional adults (21+) with a passion for working with children and adolescents with mental illness, trauma, and behavioral issues in all of our Community-Based Service programs.

Services are delivered in a community setting or client’s home and often take place after school, after work, or on weekends. As an “Advocate” through our company, you will receive pre-service training, competitive pay with flexible scheduling, and a shared opportunity for learning and growth.

The following part-time job openings are available throughout the state:

Child Service Professional
We are looking for direct care workers with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree to provide one-on-one interventions to youth and families.Services include behavior modification, psychosocial rehabilitation services, family support services, and crisis management.
Child & Family Therapist
We are seeking qualified professionals with a minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field (licensure required – LMSW, LISW, LPC-I, LPC, LMFT) to provide assessments, individual and family therapy. Child and Adolescent Clinician: We are looking for clinicians to conduct diagnostic assessments with current South Carolina licensure as LMSW, LPC-I, LPC, LISW-CP, or LMFT.
Transporter
Become a transporter and drive youth and their families to therapy services, court hearings, and family visits throughout the state. We welcome varying education and experience levels.
All part-time employment is considered contingent, which means that employment with SCYAP is dependent upon a specific work assignment. As a part-time employee, there is no explicit or implicit contract or agreement for ongoing employment with SCYAP. Employment is dependent upon receipt of personnel documentation, clear background reports, proof of appropriate auto insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle records checks.
